Learning WordPad for Kids

Hello kids! Today we will learn how to use WordPad, a simple program for typing on a computer. We will learn how to type, save, and format text to make it neat and tidy.

Opening WordPad

To open WordPad, click the Start button → type "WordPad" → click the WordPad application.

Typing Text

Try typing a few words in WordPad. Use uppercase letters, lowercase letters, and numbers to get familiar with the keyboard.

Saving Documents

To save your document, click File → Save or Save As. Choose a location and give your file a name.

Formatting Text

WordPad can change font type, size, and color. Select the text you want to change and use the Home → Font menu.

Additional visual materials will be practiced directly during class sessions.
